On Friday 6th May, HAWI will be celebrating the Islamic festival of Eid. For a whole month, Muslims around the world fasted from sunrise to sunset for the month of Ramadan. Eid is the celebration of ‘Breaking the Fast’. Students at HAWI have already explored the meaning of Eid during our assembly this week by Mr Walsh. In addition, we will be celebrating Eid on the 6th May through a number of ways. We will be offering an Eid menu with traditional foods during lunchtime as well as House Competitions where students can create Eid cards and take part in a Ramadan-themed quiz. We will also be decorating the canteen with festive ornaments to commemorate this month. We hope you are looking forward to celebrating Eid with us.
