Welcome back to the Summer Term
It was wonderful to hear Prince and Klyo talk with so much confidence in assembly on Wednesday, as they informed us about the work they have been doing for their Duke of Edinburgh Award with the Stephen Lawrence Foundation. The foundation was established to inspire a more equal, inclusive society and to foster opportunities for marginalised young people in the UK. Their D of E group organised a fantastic day to celebrate Stephen Lawrence Day and raise money for the foundation. Students were encouraged to wear orange, contribute to the bake sale at lunchtime and read all the research the D of E group have put together. Extracurricular activities begin on Monday. As ever, there is an exciting programme with over 60 different options to chose from. Please take time with your child to look at all the options and ensure they have signed up for an after school activity. They are a great way to build resilience, help with being mentally healthy and have fun!
