We are proud to offer a wide range of opportunities that allow our students to thrive both inside and outside the classroom, and this week has been a wonderful example of that.

Our Year 7/8 girls proudly represented the school in a football tournament, and our Year 7 girls’ football team competed in the first round of the Harris Cup; we are delighted to share that they won. Congratulations to all involved.

Our Year 12 students have also been extremely busy. A group visited Auschwitz through the Holocaust Educational Trust, an experience that was both powerful and deeply educational. Other Year 12 students took part in a debating competition, while our Year 12 geographers visited Dorset as an important part of their coursework studies.

Looking ahead to next week, we will be holding our Mental Health Awareness Week, alongside our school production of Shrek, the Harris Federation Maths Quiz, and a lower school disco. Please encourage your child to get involved and make the most of these opportunities.

We are also looking for parents and carers who would be willing to come into school and help inspire the next generation by taking part in our Careers Day. Further information can be found in the newsletter.

Finally, we are pleased to announce that we have joined the My School Fund initiative. This allows us to boost our school budget with your help at no cost to you. By signing up for free, you can earn cashback for the school when shopping at retailers such as Sainsbury’s and Argos. More details are included in the newsletter — every little really does help.

Have a lovely weekend,

Mrs Larizadeh
