It has been a busy and exciting week at the academy.

We were delighted to welcome staff and students from a school in Ukraine, who visited to see what learning is like in London schools. It was a valuable and inspiring experience for everyone involved. In addition, a group of our Year 10 students attended a Model United Nations conference. With so much happening in the world, developing skills of diplomacy, debate and global understanding is more important than ever.

In sport, the Year 7/8 girls’ football team recorded a strong win against Hollyfield School and HAWI Hockey travelled to St Duncans College for their first fixture of the year. Meanwhile, preparations are well underway for our school production of Shrek, and excitement is building across the academy.

Year 11 students have made a very positive start to their mock examinations, demonstrating focus and commitment. Year 12 have made a great start to their A-level studies, and an important parents’ evening on Thursday will provide an opportunity to discuss their progress so far.

Thank you, as always, for your continued support.

Mrs Larizadeh
