The Macmillan cake sale has been a great success today. Yet again, HAWI students show their kindness, compassion, team work and talent as they seek to make a difference to the lives of people in the wider community. There was clearly a lot of baking in your kitchens yesterday (I hope they cleared up as well!) and the photographs give you an insight into the incredible range of cakes. We will update you next week on how much money we have raised for Macmillan. October is Black History Month and there will be more opportunity to get involved with house competitions and other events. We will publish a full schedule next week. I am absolutely delighted with how your children have settled back into school life this term; they are courteous, respectful and are working hard. Thank you for everything you do to support the academy, it is very much appreciated.
