We expect to hear an update from the government over the weekend about their plans for schools re-opening in the coming weeks and months ahead. I am very keen to welcome more children back to the academy when it is safe to do so, but we must wait for the government advice before we put our plans together. It is highly likely that remote learning is going to continue in some form for the foreseeable future as the return to school will be a phased approach. Therefore we continue to improve and develop our Virtual School every day. You will find a link here to a parent survey as I am really keen to hear your views on what is working well for your child and whether you have any ideas on how we can improve the Virtual School experience. I am delighted to report that the confidence amongst your children in using Teams and the other aspects of the Virtual School is rapidly improving and we are seeing a lot of excellent work every single day. The teachers are also becoming more confident and are able to refine how they present their work to the children. If you get chance to watch the new video format of the student bulletin this week, you will see some of the tremendous work the teachers are putting in to develop remote opportunities for the students. Thank you for your daily encouragement of your children to complete their work each day and please do not hesitate to get in touch if you need any support.
