As the Autumn term draws to a close, I’d like to thank you for all your support. It has been a fantastic term which has culminated in an array of special events. The school choir visited Oaks Care Home where they entertained the residents with their own repertoire and some Christmas carols. Christmas lunch was a great success and students exchanged presents supporting Secret Santa. There has been fierce rivalry over the ‘decorate your door’ competition and the whole academy has had an atmosphere of festivity, warmth and happiness. Holidays are a time to rest, a time to spend building relationships with friends and family and in terms of school, a time to tidy up books ensuring any outstanding work is completed before the new term begins. It is also a time to read; to immerse yourself in a different world and discover new ideas and vocabulary.
I would like to wish you all a restful and enjoyable holiday and look forward to seeing the students on Tuesday 7th January at 8.25am.
