As we approach the final week of the Autumn Term, I am excited to share that it will be filled with festive events: the Winter Celebration, Christmas Lunch, Festive Christmas Jumper Day, Secret Santa, and our annual Door Decoration competition.
This term has been filled with achievements, enrichment, and community spirit. Highlights include a fantastic Cultural Evening, impressive participation in the UKMT Senior Maths Challenge, and the strong performances at sporting fixtures. We were also delighted to capture a whole school photograph for the first time in several years—a special moment that brought our entire community together. Students enjoyed theatre trips, visits to London Museums and House trips, and we were proud to celebrate our runners-up position in the Year 11 Mock Trial Competition. We are also looking forward to the Winter Celebration this week.
None of these opportunities would be possible without the dedication and hard work of our staff, who continually go above and beyond to support our students. I am grateful for their commitment.
We are also delighted to share that we have been chosen as the Lead Secondary School for the South West London Music Hub which is a wonderful recognition of the exceptional work of our Music department and the vibrant musical culture they continue to foster at HAWI.
It is important for students to continue attending school every day until the end of term, but as we approach the holidays, I would like to wish you all a restful and enjoyable break.
