There is a great deal to celebrate in the academy this week. Our Year 11 Academy Scholars achieved an impressive third place in the Citizens Mock Bar Trial competition. We are also proud of the many students who earned Bronze, Silver and Gold awards in the UKMT Senior Maths Challenge.
Our basketball team secured a convincing win against the St Mark’s Mavericks, and students thoroughly enjoyed themselves on the recent House trips. A huge thank you to the WPA for hosting an excellent Cultural Evening last night, and to the families who attended and supported the event.
We are currently in the midst of Year 8 and Year 10 assessment week, and Year 11 are about to begin their first set of in-class assessments as they build towards their GCSEs. We want to take this opportunity to praise all our students for the independence, integrity and resilience they are showing. Assessments can be challenging, but our students continue to demonstrate resilience and a commitment to doing their best.
