We were incredibly proud to see our Year 11 students dressed to impress at their prom – it was a fantastic evening filled with joy, celebration and style. The students did themselves proud, and it was a fitting way to mark the end of their GCSE journey.
We also had the pleasure of welcoming award-winning author Sue Wallman into school this week. Sue ran a series of engaging and inspiring sessions with our students, sparking lively discussions and encouraging a love of reading and storytelling. It was a brilliant experience for all involved.
Today, our school was awash with colour as we celebrated Heritage Day. Students and staff came dressed in vibrant, traditional attire that represented the rich cultural diversity of our community. It was a joyful celebration of identity and inclusion, and a reminder of the strength we draw from our shared values and varied backgrounds.
I’m also delighted to share some fantastic news: our Federation has been named "Trust of the Year" at the Times Educational Supplement (TES) Awards. This is a tremendous honour and a reflection of the hard work, dedication and commitment of our entire Federation community – staff, students and families alike.
Looking ahead, next week promises to be a fun and active one as we start our Outdoor Activity Week. All letters and information have been sent home, so please ensure your child is aware of the schedule and knows where they need to be each day. We’re looking forward to a week filled with teamwork, adventure and plenty of fresh air!
Best wishes for an enjoyable weekend,
Mrs Larizadeh
