It has been another busy and exciting week at the academy. Our Sixth Form students participated in the Federation Sports Day, showcasing great teamwork and sportsmanship. A group of students also had the wonderful opportunity to attend a performance of Carmen at the Royal Opera House – a truly enriching cultural experience. Meanwhile, a group of Year 8 students have been actively involved in a cultural speaking programme, helping to develop their communication and public speaking skills.
Looking ahead, we are very much looking forward to welcoming our new Year 7 students and their families into the HAWI community. With over 40 siblings joining us this year, we know there will be plenty of familiar faces to help support our newest members as they transition into secondary school life.
This is also a particularly important week for both Year 10 and Year 12 students. Year 10 have their final Parents’ Evening before entering Year 11. Attendance is essential, as this is a key opportunity to reflect on what went well in their recent exams and identify areas for improvement moving forward.
We also want to take a moment to wish our Year 12 students the very best of luck in their end-of-year assessments. Their hard work and commitment throughout the year have been impressive, and we are confident they will do themselves proud.
