I am sure you are all aware of the devastating impact of the TurkeySyria earthquake, killing many and destroying the livelihoods of thousands of families. At HAWI we have many students and staff who are from or connected to the two countries affected.
We will be holding a special Mufti Day on Friday 24th February to help raise much needed funds for the people of Turkey-Syria following this tragic event.
We would like to encourage everyone in the school community to wear their own clothes to school and make a contribution.
All money raised will be donated to the British Red Cross Turkey-Syria Earthquake Appeal to help aid the rescue efforts and provide support to the thousands of people affected by the earthquakes.
I hope everyone has a peaceful, safe and enjoyable half term break.
