Talal in Year 10 has created a clay vessel inspired by the natural form of a pineapple! The department can't wait to see what glazes and paints he will add once the pot has been fired in the kiln. Amazing work Talal! https://t.co/6km55b27fv

Here is an epic thriller which will also enhance your understanding of physics. Set in Peckham, we experience gang feuds and time travel with our hero Esso. A seriously good book which is soon to be a major Netflix movie. Recommended to our Y9 and Y10 students! https://t.co/bKmA4BAQgH

I am proud of every member of the school community who have risen to the demands of a very challenging year.  We are looking forward to Honours Day on Monday where we can celebrate this momentous year with our students and staff,  and I hope some parents will be able to join us virtually.  Please find the times and links below.

Year 9 Honours – 10.00am-11.00am

Year 9 Honours Ceremony: link.

Year 7 Honours – 11.40am-12.40pm

Please ensure your child attends in their smartest uniform with their school shoes polished!

Unfortunately, Stuart Lawrence has been in close contact with someone who has tested positive for Covid-19 and now has to self-isolate.  We will arrange for him to visit us in the Autumn Term.  Although disappointing, this will not detract from the tremendous achievements of our students.

Tuesday will be a Mufti day for the students and we will raise money for cancer research. Please contribute £1 towards Teenage Cancer Trust. We finish at 3pm on Tuesday and students will be dismissed between 12.15pm and 12.30pm on Wednesday.

This is the last newsletter of the school year but I will write to you next week with arrangements for the start of the Autumn Term 2021.

Until then, have a lovely weekend and enjoy the sunshine.

Mrs Larizadeh
