Admissions 2018

How to apply for a place in September 2018

We will have 120 places in September 2018. This will increase to 180 places in September 2019.

In 2018 we will not be part of the application process for secondary places operated by Merton Council. To apply for a place with us, please complete our admissions form (link below).

Does your child have an Education, Health and Care plan or are you seeking one?

If so, your child’s admission is through another process and you need to ask the LA to name this school on the plan.

Admissions Policy – who will be offered places?

If we are oversubscribed, we will be admitting looked after and previously looked after children first, and then the children who live closest to three nodal points:

  • 33% from Colliers Wood Station (measured from the corner of the junction of Christchurch Road and Merton High Street  closest to the station)
  • 33% from Merton Abbey Primary School’s main entrance

Note: We will amend this nodal point to the main entrance of Harris Academy Wimbledon when our academy moves to a new site next door to Merton Abbey Primary School.

  • 33% from Haydons Road Station (measured from the corner of the junction of Caxton Road and Haydons Road closest to the station)

If, at the end of the allocation process, there are spare places in any nodal point, these will be allocated to the children living nearest to that nodal point (even though not their closest nodal point) using the same criteria as set out above.
